The Redskins became a team in 1932. They weren’t always the Washington Redskins, in 1932, they started as the Boston Braves and then in 1933-1936, they became the Boston Redskins. In 1937, present they became the Washington Redskins. When I was 3 I started liking the Redskins because that was the first football game I went to. I would always want to go see them after I saw them play for the first time. When I was 5, we went to one of their spring training practices.
Over the years the Redskins have had 30 head coaches. There best coach they have had that stayed for 1 season yet was Dudley DeGroot with a .737 winning record in a full season as a head coach. Their all-time best head coach was Joe Gibbs. Joe Gibbs is the all-time leader in games coached and wins in Redskin”s history. The worst coach by far for the Redskins was Mike Nixon. He had a .182 record with the Redskins as the head coach.
The Redskins have been in 3 Super Bowls and won all 3 of them. The years they won the Superbowl are 1983,1987,1991. In 1983 they played the Miami Dolphins and beat them 27-17. In 1987 they played the Denver Broncos and beat them 42-10. In 1991 they played the Buffalo Bills and beat them 37-24.

#1. Art Monk was a wide receiver and played 15 seasons in the NFL and 14 seasons with the Redskins. He was in 3 pro bowls and is the Redskins all-time receptions leader. He was the first player in NFL history to reach 900 career receptions and is still the only player ever with 15 consecutive seasons with at least 35 receptions.
#2. Charley Taylor was a running back for 2 seasons and then went to a wide receiver. He immediately found success leading the NFL in receiving two consecutive years in a row. Charley Taylor retired in 1977 as the NFL’s all-time leading receiver and currently holds the franchise record in touchdown receptions with 79.
#3. Santana Moss was a wide receiver and played for the Redskins for 9 seasons. In the 2005 season, Randy Moss broke Bobby Mitchell’s single-season receiving record with 1,483 yards. He is known for his phenomenal speed and athletic ability, Randy Moss often ran past corners to find the end-zone in games, doing so 64 times in his Redskins career. Randy Moss is ranked in the top four in Redskins history in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns.
#4. Gary Clar was a wide receiver Gary Clark played eight years for the Washington Redskins from 1985-92. Following a great rookie season recording 72 receptions and almost 1,000 yards, Clark continued his success, going over the 1,000-yard mark five times for the Redskins and was a four-time Pro Bowl selection and two Super Bowl victories.
