In the beginning,“This is my final goodbye” Cassy said to her sister. “I am leaving and don’t know if I will be back.”
“ You can’t leave me with him!”
“ What will dad think when he finds out you left? He will go totally nuts, do you remember when mom left?”
*flash back*
They lived in a very old small house. The bathroom mirror was shattered, broken beer bottles were everywhere. The house was cold, dark, dirty dishes were everywhere. Mom tried to keep up but she was tired. She works all day and all night. She never had any time to clean cook or really do anything. When dad comes home she is scared. You could tell by the look in her face.
“WHAT ARE yOu DoInG in MY HOusE?” he said to mom. “ go away you’re drunk! You need to leave now” she demanded. But he did not listen but instead got mad. He took a step too far and hit mom! “ good bye remember I love you” those were the last words we heard from our mother that day.
