It was March 4th, 2019. It was a Saturday afternoon and I got in my mom’s car to drive the orthodontist’s office. The whole car ride there I had mixed emotions of nervousness, happiness, and sadness. I was nervous because I was scared of what I was going to look like or how bad the pain was going to be. I was happy because my teeth were going to be fixed and I get to pick fun colors like blue, green, pink and more. I was sad because well I was getting braces on and nobody wants braces.
When we got to the orthodontist office we signed in and sat in the waiting room. Then they called me back. First they cleaned and dried my teeth, then they applied the glue and brackets to my teeth, next they put in my wire, lastly I chose my band colors and I was finally finished. It felt like really really weird at first but then I got used to it real fast. They gave me some wax to put on my braces if it rubbed on my cheek or the inside of my mouth.
