Chapter 1
“How do I get out of here?” I said very loudly.
I found another portal. Should I jump through it? It won’t harm to try. The worst thing that can happen is I explode.
“Hold on!”
“Let’s go back to how Nazli got here.”
“ By the way, I am the narrator. I will pop in from time to time.”
Nazli was working at her local Dollar General. Looking as dead as ever. She was checking out the squishiest grandma ever. The world was shaking…badly. Nazli just took it as the earth was having another earthquake. The earth started splitting at its seams making the ground glow from its magma core. Next thing Nazli knew the earth wasn’t there. She wasn’t on the floor. She was gone…and she wasn’t coming back.
“ Hello there mate!” a weird mysterious figure said.
“ Hel-lo?”
“Who’s there?”
“ Well, there mate I’m Sydney Annemarie!”
Nazli stood up carefully. She falls back down. Nazli tries this about a hundred more times. The final time she fell she gave up.
“ Why do I keep falling? Isn’t this space?”
“ Yeah mate, but the gravity here in this dimension is heavier than your body can handle.”
“ Why can you stand up perfectly fine then?”
“ Well mate, the reason I can stand up is because I am an interdimensional guardian.”
“ What is an interdimensional guardian?”
“An interdimensional guardian looks after this broken portal and makes sure no bad person gets into the other dimensions.”
At that moment Nazi realized that she was the bad person. She was intruding. She was going to make this world, no dimension dies. She was in trouble. She needed help. She needed more help than she knew she was going to need. She needed to be reliable. More reliable than a best friend. She thought this was going to be an easy journey? No, she knew she was going to fail.
