It was the day that my family and I had been waiting for a long time. The day that the Eagles were finally playing for the Super Bowl. They were playing the Patriots. It was a crazy season because they first lost Carson Wentz their quarterback in week 12 against the Rams and the whole way through the playoffs they were the underdogs including the Super Bowl.
My whole family gathered up for the game. The first quarter was okay and the score was 9 to 3 and the Eagles were winning. By halftime, the Eagles were up 22 to 12. After halftime, we were feeling very confident. It came to me that the Patriots had come back from a deficit last year in the Super Bowl to beat the Falcons. In the third quarter, the Patriots start to try to make a comeback by scoring two touchdowns and the Eagles only scored one touchdown. The score was then 26 to 29 and the Eagles were winning.
At the end of the fourth quarter, the Eagles were still winning but Tom Brady and the Patriots were driving down the field. They snapped the ball but the Eagles blitzed and cause a fumble and they recovered the football. That play won the Eagles their first Super Bowl ever with the final score of 41 to 33. We were so happy and we celebrated for 5 minutes straight.
